Will Hammond is the proud owner of his late father Richards Hillman Imp, LOL 747 F, it had been off the road, sat in a very nice garage for 28 years!

Dom and Will decided it was time for it drive again, and started assembling a team of willing Impers to help make this dream come true. The aim was replace old and perrished components with new to make the car as reliable as possible and give give Will a great start to his Imp Journey.

Richard had a good supply of spares ready to fit and others were purchased, from Bob at Imp Spares Mark Maynard and other imp specialists.

Briefly this included a New cooling system including a new High Efficiency radiator, new cooling pipes through the sills a new water pump. if it wasnt replaced it was taken out and thouroughly cleaned and refurbished. The brakes were completely refurbished including all cylinders pipes and brake lines and backplates/adjusters. A new Clutch, new Thermostat, Steering rack was refurbished with new rubber housing, with new Trackrod ends, New Shock absorbers H brackets , Electronic Ignition and a NOS Solex carburetor, Refurbished half shafts and new Universal Joints, bearings wer cleaned and regreaseed. etc etc etc

Dom planned it all took a week off work and kept everyone going doing the right things in the right order.

Gear box in with new oil new mounts and earth strap new fuel and brake lines

Gear ball replaced and linkage refurbished
